With almost sixty X-35s sold, clients are eagerly awaiting news about the building progress of this new International One Design yacht, which shall form a new One Design Class in 2006. The Class Rules are in preparation and a preliminary edition will soon be published on x-yachts.com.
What you see is the X-35 hull plug during the second of three stages of 5-axis milling from coarse to very fine.
The hull has been split down the centerline plan into two plug parts with their centerline plans facing the floor and the sheerlines facing each other in order for the head of the milling machine to have better access to the sheerline flanges.
The first hull will be moulded end May, and hereafter production will be picking up speed in the next months with three yachts per week.
