X-Yachts reveals a new 55 ft Performance Cruiser

The X-Yachts heritage

X-Yachts is celebrating an increasing demand for the Performance line. Since
X-Yachts was founded back in 1979, the main focus has been developing and building market leaders in the world of Performance yachts.

Some of them won official World Championships for off-shore racing yachts, a total of 7 times ¾ Ton Cup and twice winner of the most prestigious One Ton Cup.

One Design Racing yachts also became an X-Yachts speciality, and the models X-99, X-35 and X-41 all became official ISAF Recognized Classes with annual World and European Championships.

A vast majority of the entire production of 5000 yachts is Cruiser/Racers, or as we have named them, Performance Cruisers, which are vessels that will satisfy the sailors, who enjoy pure cruising – and if equipped with the right sails and an experienced crew, are capable of winning handicap races.

Cruising or racing

It has always been discussed, whether it is possible to combine the perfect cruiser with the perfect racer.

The answer is of course, that for dedicated cruising, heavier yachts, with improved storage capacity, are best for pure cruising, and yachts without any cruising facilities, are better for pure racing.

For the first category, X-Yachts developed a dedicated cruising range, the Xc range, ranging from 38 to 50 (twice winner of the European Yacht Award for luxury cruisers).

The typical X-Yachts audience enjoy sailing a yacht, which due to the design quality and details combined with the purposely chosen build quality, are giving them the experience of being on board a yacht, with the best possible sailing qualities.
