Success for X-Yachts at the IMS Worlds
Two X-332s came second and third in Division 2 at the IMS Offshore World Championship in Neustadt in Germany.
The winner was an Optima 101/106 skippered by Detlef Amlong.
Silver medal in Division 2 went to the X-332 "No Limits" (several times German Champion in IMS 3). The owner of
“No Limits” is Kiel Week Manager, Sven Christensen. He had invited X-Yachts’ Export Manger, Torsten Bastiansen, on board as tactician, and the team and the boat showed great performance.
Some points behind on a third place came the X-332 Sport "patent3" helmed by Jürgen Klinghardt. The division 2 had
twenty-four participating yachts.

The IMX 40s showed the best in Division 1
The third place, and thus bronze medal, was a great success for Mathias Müller von Blumencron and his Corinthean (amateur) crew on the IMX 40 "Moonshine". He came right behind two fully professional crewed light-displacement racers. Division 1 had twenty-six participating yachts of a very high level.
