X-Yachts in Haderslev, owned by its three founders Niels Jeppesen, Lars Jeppesen and Birger Hansen, is presently experiencing a rapid growth in sales and therefore turnover. This positive development in the sales figures have encouraged the owners to expand and strengthen the management by appointing Lars Netterstrøm as Managing Director.
X-Yachts is Denmark’s largest yard for production of sailing yachts. The new range of X-Yachts has increased the sales on the international market, and today, after more than 25 years in the business, the company is exporting 97% of the yachts built. Based on current demand, and future expectations, X-Yachts have a more than confident outlook.
Lars Netterstrøm is 52 years old and has an education as production engineer. Within the last 10 years he has been employed in the telecom business - the last four years as Managing Director of Song Networks in Denmark.
Lars Netterstrøm has a long sailing career. Back in 1980 he successfully raced the X-79 in the Danish regatta "Sjælland Rundt". He competed against the Jeppesen brothers; however, they did not finish due to stormy weather. Lars Netterstrøm, finished as Overall Winner and Winner of the
X-79 Class. To this record he can add several national championships in various boat types as well as a Nordic Championship in an H-boat.
Lars Netterstrøm joins X-Yachts on 4 April 2005.
