X-Yachts is best known for its racing and performance cruising yachts. The creation by the Danish yard of the Xc 45, a true cruising yacht, took the sailing world by surprise but was a total triumph, receiving all-round praise and earning a nomination as Yacht of the Year 2009. Following the success of the Xc 45 comes the Xc 42 that will make its world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf (17-25 January).
 
 
 

Comfort and safety are at the heart of the X-Yachts’ cruising philosophy and the Xc 42 features a wider and deeper hull shape than the other, more performance orientated, designs in the X-Yachts range.
Fantastic seakeeping is coupled with increased stowage and larger tanks to allow true offshore capability. A range of accommodation layouts can include a workshop or office and up to three cabins.
The Xc 42 was created with short-handed and family sailors in mind. The mainsail track is positioned safely on the coachroof while the mainsheet is led within easy reach of the helm. The positively raked transom gives a classic look while hiding a hinged swimming platform. Sail plan options include an inner forestay and bow sprit.
The interior boasts a luxurious owner’s cabin forward and a choice of saloon layouts. X-Yachts attention to detail and fine craftsmanship comes as standard.
The Xc 42 has clearly answered a strong market demand and almost 20 yachts were sold before the first hull was completed.

The Xc 45 has gone from success to success with more than 25 yachts sold within a year. Following rave reviews in the yachting press, the design was nominated as Yacht of the Year 2009 and the winners will be announced at Boot Düsseldorf on Saturday 17 January.



The Xc 50 will be launched in 2010 and will become the flagship of the Xc range, allowing cruising yachtsmen to sail further, faster. With stylish lines and dedicated crew accommodation, she promises true blue water luxury.
