Competitors participate in the X-Yachts Solent Cup 2009 entirely at their own risk. Specific attention is drawn to the RRS, Part 1, rule 4, Decision to Race: "The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone". The organizing authority, the Yacht Club, X-Yachts (GB) LTD, the sponsors and any person or entity in the organisation of the event shall not accept any liability of material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta, both on the water and ashore.
All competitors shall acknowledge this by signing the Disclaimer and Acknowledgement of Rights Form provided by the Organizing Authority.

INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance of minimum €1,000,000.
