Modern design (pentry longside) & 3 cabins

The X-40 “Johanna Quattro” has been owned by one family since new. The boat has only been used for family cruising and no racing. It is in excellent condition and has been carefully looked after and upgraded throughout the years. The boat has been stored indoor from September/October – April every year. The boat has never been grounded. The boat has been maintained with professional help. The boat has always been stored with a cockpit cover when moored in the harbor (see picture 20) and forestay cover for additional protection.

Exterior Details

Hull

  • The white hull incorporates 3 identical colored waterlines and a single recessed sheer stripe, all in standard blue.
  • Continuous stainless steel protection rail around sheer line.
  • A change in antifouling was made in 2017. Previous paint (International Micron VQ) was manually sanded away. New epoxy primer was applied before application of new (hard) antifouling from Jotun.

Deck

  • Teak in cockpit
  • 6 mooring cleats
  • No anchor fitting in bow section. The fitting was never mounted but comes with the boat if new owner would like to attach.

Sail Handling

Sails

  • All by North Sails:
  • New 3DL Main, with full lengths battens and two reefs. Ball bearing cars. Taft on one side. Condition - as new.
  • New 3DL Genoa 110%, with vertical battens. UV-protection on furling side. Condition – very good.
  • Heavy weather Jib Dacron. Condition – very good.
  • Genoa 108% - Dacron. Condition - OK.
  • Genoa 135 % - Kevlar. Condition – very good.
  • Asymmetric A3 with a chute - Condition - very good.
  • Boom cover from 2015, heavy duty and X-logo lined
  • Forestay cover from 2015 in very good condition

Mast & Rigging

  • The triple spreader tapered anodized aluminum mast from John Mast. The mast is fitted with furling head stay profile, Windex including night-light, steaming light, two retractable climbing steps and track for spinnaker pole
  • Lazy jacks fitted to mast
