Owner's Comments

This yacht is rigged for comfortable short-handed fast cruising. The boom-furling fully battened main is run from the cockpit with an electric winch by a person who doesn’t have to be strong. From there the main can be reefed in any position, usually at a batten. It works at any angle up to 45º off the wind. There is no need to go up on deck. One of the mainsheet winches is also electric so that the helmsman can gybe the main unaided.

The boat has an extra water tank, making a capacity of around 400 litres.

The fuel tank is 130 litres. The engine typically uses less than 3 litres an hour, giving a range of more than 40 hours motoring.

She has a heavy Rocna anchor which sets easily and resets when the boats swings with the tide and wind. She has travelled about 18,000 miles in all conditions, to Brittany, La Rochelle, The Hebrides, the West Country and the Baltic .

She is a delight to sail, light and responsive on the helm and easily driven with a quickly adjustable sailplan. With three cabins and two heads she is comfortable for two couples to cruise distance. Three couples is a bit cramped for more than a weekend.

We have owned her from new. She is for sale because we have retired from sailing distance.
