Launched for her first owner in August 2011, BREIDABLIK was mainly family sailed in Sweden. In 2015 she was shipped as deck cargo to the Balearics, and has been family sailed here ever since.  No Copa del Rey, just relaxed but fast cruising - though her new owner could race as she is offered very complete with North 3DL, Code0, Gennaker, Spi pole carbon.

The Xp 44 is the perfect blend of performance sailing - available immediately.

Exterior Details

Hull

  • The Xp 44 hull is a composite construction, moulded in a 5-axis-milled female tooling. X-Yachts hulls are built using the latest construction technologies with a vacuum-infused, post-cured epoxy construction.

Deck

  • Vacuum applied teak deck on cockpit seats, cockpit sole and transom. Teak also applied to side decks and coach roof.

Mast & Rigging

  • Fractional two-spreader, tapered silver anodized aluminium mast stepped on carbon mast base frame, designed and engineered for the Xp 44
  • Discontinuous rod rigging throughout with rod turnbuckles. Stainless steel chainplates for headstay, center backstay and shrouds.
  • Headsail is furled using an under deck drum. Furling line led back to cockpit for easy handling.
  • Lazy jacks with Lazy Bag for mainsail, North Sails
  • LED deck lights and extra LED tricolor at mast top
  • Harken integral hydraulic backstay adjuster for centre backstay

Keel

  • The keel consists of antimony hardened lead T-bulb bolted and glued to cast iron for high strength, low centre of gravity and comfortable sailing performance. The keel is a 2.30 m. Ballast weight of the keel is approximately 3.850 kg
  • The keel structure consists of carbon grid structure which forms an integral part of the hull structure. It is capable of absorbing loads from keel and mast as well as shock loads in the event of grounding. Integrated limber holes are positioned in order to allow water to run to the central keel bilge.
