|From March 2018 Press Release:
The hull design follows the latest design philosophy which maximises the recognized and appreciated sailing performance, a design, which excels in light medium up to strong breezes, due to a generous sail plan sitting on a high quality mast and rig, including standard discontinued rod rigging. It is all fitted to an optimized hull shape, built with X Yachts advanced technology, including epoxy infusion, and finally incorporating X Yachts famous steel hull/keel girder to hold the composite lead in place in all conditions.
The deck lay out is a combination of the features of both her siblings, self-tacker genoa standard, the sheet handled via one of the halyard winches, and the mainsheet coming back to within the reach of the helmsman.
The double wheel steering, is connected via two individual quadrants, and make a emergency steering tiller obsolete, as it is two independent steering systems, a great added safety feature.
Winches, port light and hatches
Large Harken self-tailing winches are standard, as are toughened glass coach roof port light, of which 2 of them each side are openable for improved ventilation. As on the X49, outboard facing coaming port lights, openable, helps to improve both the interiors natural light as well as the ventilation. Each aft cabin will have three openable hatches, port light ensuring optimum ventilation.
Behind the wheels are two cockpit floor hatches, each with integrated adjustable helmsman foot chocks, giving access to the huge lazarette.

The entrance ladder is hiding the yachts ultra-modern common rail diesel engine, delivering 57 HP as standard and 80 HP as an option. The engine compartment is sound insulated utilising “Super Yacht” specification including a heavy 8 mm solid rubber layer, 50 mm special Rockwool and finally covered with a perforated aluminium plating. All openings are foreseen with double rubber seals to eliminate noise to pultrude. The engine is delivered with a standard 2 blade Flex O Fold folding propeller to maximise the sailing performance under sail.
The interior layout is having two identical aft cabins with one difference that the port aft cabin is 1500 mm wider, enabling this cabin to be offered in a split berth version, incl to single berths and a “in fill” bridge and cushion to enable a large double berth. Both aft cabins are offered with either a top freeboard shelve with stainless steel railing or a freeboard hung adjustable pipe berth. Both aft cabins have large double wardrobes.
The large owner’s cabin accommodates a king sized double berth.
Large L shaped galley with large top loaded standard fridge and option for frontloaded fridge, as well as microwave oven and Nespresso coffee machine, and plenty of space for food, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery.
The yacht has two bathrooms, one aft of the nav station to service the two aft cabins. The owners ensuite bathroom comes with a separate shower compartment.
