Owner's Comments

After 4 great summers of sailing Hydra on the IJselmeer, Waddenzee, North Sea and Channel up and down the French and English coast we have decided to sell Hydra.

In those 4 years we were often sailing when others remained in port because of strong winds where we were confident of her stability and strength to sail on. Just as often we noticed other yachts using their engine while we were still sailing, matching our boatspeed to the (single digit) windspeed or reaching with our code 0 doing 7 knots at 6 knots of windspeed, a truly exhilarating experience.

We did 1 or 2 races a year but mostly cruised as a couple, passionately passing every other monohull with normal interior we ever encountered. The level of comfort and style with double showers and toilets and the light interior design surprised many guests.

We regret to sell Hydra because my wife suffers from reuma in her hands which makes sailing more and more painful for her. Hydra deserves passionate owners who continue to take care of her and will sail and enjoy her for many weeks and weekends every year.
