This year is another chance for X-Yacht owners to take to the Solent for some fun racing, followed by social events each evening at the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble, UK.
The Solent is the strait that separates the Isle of Wight from the mainland of England. It is about 20 miles in length and varies in width between one and four miles.
Many consider it to be the mecca of UK sailing. With so much going on and hundreds of boats seen out racing or cruising most weekends throughout the year, filtering in and out of all the wonderfully martime orientated lcoations along the coast of both the Isle of Wight and the mainland.
This year's Solent X-Cup will be run out of the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble River. With quick, easy access to the Solent, it offers the perfect location to race out of.
