X-37 “Turismo Madrid” winner of the IMS 670 Class
Jose Maria van der Ploeg helmed his X-37 to a fantastic victory in the VIII Trofeo S.M. La Reina in Valencia. The event was organised by Real Club Nautico de Valencia.
This yearly event is one of the most prestigious races in Spain, and thus the skipper and his crew were extremely proud and cheerful when they got a first place in the last race and finished as number one overall in their class.
Twenty very competitive yachts had entered the IMS 670 Class and the X-37 “Turismo Madrid” ended up with two firsts out of five races and a total score of 16 points. Second, with 20 points, came the GS 37 B helmed by Sergio Llorca.
