Kieler Woche 2018! For the ORC Club welcome race, taking place 16th – 17th June, there are now 17 registered X-Yachts out of a total entry list of 87. Among the X’es are Torsten Bastiansen in his X-41, “Sydbank”, Sven Zoller in his X-50 “Bajazzo”, Andreas Wulfes in his Xp 38 “Passion X”, 2 Xp 44’s helmed by Max Gurgel and Ralf Lässig, etc etc. Good luck to everyone!

On a 3000 nautical mile journey to Valletta! These happy guys left Haderslev Friday 1st June with their new Xc 45 to sail the boat to Valletta, Malta. The owners, Edward and John accompanied by their long time friend, Larry. They have been dreaming of buying an Xc 45 for 7 years. Now, that their dream had finally come true, they were understandably emotional when they saw their MinX ready for them in the X-Yachts marina. The journey to Malta is expected to take till late July - a route with a distance of 3,000 nautical miles. On their way, they will be stopping by the UK for a 2 weeks' visit. The Xc 45 is built to be a long-distance cruiser with comfort and safety as some of the key features. We feel pretty sure that Edward, John and Larry will enjoy the journey to the full!

American sailors want X-Yachts! A very spectacular event took place this weekend as the enormous cargo ship, Sampogracht – by SevenStar Yacht Service came to Haderslev to pick up six boats heading for the United States. The loading took place in open waters early Sunday morning, and over the next couple of hours, the loading took place - made relatively easy by the X-Yachts' signature central lift point. X-Yachts are designed to be lifted using a single lift point that is integrated into the keel structure. This is ideal as it means there is no risk of damaging propellers and rudders as well as not scratching the hull with lifting straps. It also proves just how strong and well balanced the yachts are. 700 miles at sea - with good friends and champagne! Mikko Tiilikka has bought a pre-owned Xc 45 from X-Yachts Finland and our Finnish dealer, Robi Gripenberg. At 15:00 yesterday – after a good glass of champagne – the happy crew started their 700 nautical mile journey to Finland, which they expect to do in three days. Mikko has gathered a strong experienced crew for the journey, and we wish them the best of luck on their journey and congratulations with the new boat!

It floats! After a long journey – among others being presented at the Boot in Düsseldorf in January – the X4⁹ was ready to hit the water in Haderslev earlier today. Shortly, the boat will be rigged and prepared for the first test sails by the design & quality team of X-Yachts. See the launch gallery below!
