Bayona, Spain - 22 to 25 July, 2006
 

Javier de la Gándara participated with his X-37 “Nacional Suiza Seguros” in the Trofeo Conde de Gondomar, organized by the yacht club Monte Real Club de Yates de Bayona. During the three days of racing the X-37 made an outstanding performance and became the overall winner.

Class winner
The event was divided into three classes; IMS Open, IMS 670 and Cruisers. Javier de la Gándara and his crew raced the
X-37 in the IMS 670 Class and out of the four races they achieved two firsts and two seconds.

Overall winner
Apart from winning their class with six points, the team could also claim the Overall Trophy in the lead of a Farr 39, who came second and a sister boat from X-Yachts, the IMX 40 “Castrosua”, ranking 3rd.

The event took place at the northwest coast of Spain with 29 participating yachts.
