Cres, Croatia – 17 to 24 June 2006

A very competitive fleet of 26 boats from Croatia, Italy, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic had gathered at the island of Cres in Croatia for the IMS Central European Championship.

The X-43 “AWT” skippered by Jan Winkler did well in the five races and placed 3rd as the best Croatian boat.

The X-43, which is a production built yacht with teak deck and equipped for cruising, was beaten by a Grand Soleil 42R and 37R. Both of these yachts were specially built for racing.
