X-40

Sold

The ultimate X-40 for shorthanded sailing, with push-button sailing for the mainsheet and re-wind genoa winches. This X-40 offers a full specification and has been maintained with love and attention.

Owner's Comments

We have bought this X-40 from its first owner back in 2011, at which point she was hardly used at all. We immediately proceeded with fitting electrical (re-wind) winches and had all the technical installations performed professionally as we wanted to be able to sail the boat singlehanded and without fuss.

In preparation for a trip to the Baltic in 2018 a lot has been renewed and upgraded. and we also had the (already spraypainted dark blue hull) re-painted again in International Perfection Pro, which really makes her look as new again!

Except for last winter when we decided to continue sailing, the winter storage has always been inside a heated storage.

We like the 2-cabin layout with th huge storage space on port side behind the large toilet/shower to allow for storage of sails, dinghy etc. And the custom option (since new) that saw the forward heads only used for shower is exactly what you want when sailing shorthanded. Overall this X-40 has the ideal lay-out for comfortable cruising at a competitive speed.

We have mixed feelings putting her for sale, but we would like to make one more change of sailing yacht and are now aiming at a slightly larger yacht with twin wheels.
