X-50, build number #6, commissioned 2005. Blue hull with L-shaped keel. Standard aluminium mast, with Furlerboom system and furling jib. Teak in cockpit, side decks and coachroof. Below decks she has three cabins, with three en-suite heads, classic layout with U-galley and owner's berth forward, offset to port allowing access to the sail locker from the cabin. "MaXian" has been owned since new by the same pair of joint owners, one of whom is the founding Chairman of The X-Yachts Owners Association. This model was selected by them and the equipment list developed to provide fast and comfortable cruising in both northern waters and the Mediterranean. She is capable of being safely handled by a crew of 2 but can easily accommodate 6 or more in three double cabins all with individual heads.
She has never been raced or chartered and has only ever been skippered by either of the joint owners. She has typically had around 8 weeks gentle summer cruising most of which has been in the balmy climate of the Adriatic. Never been grounded and never involved in a collision.
She has been lifted out, pressure hosed, sanded and antifouled every spring together with polishing of the hull, topsides and bright work. At the same time all equipment has been serviced and any defects rectified.
Currently lying in Hamble where she can be viewed, inspected and test sailed.
