BulgariaX5⁶ #11, delivered in 2023, is one of the most extensively specified X5⁶ yachts built. Her original options list ran to more than €800,000, turning this 56-footer into a true short-handed blue-water cruiser without compromising the sailing performance X-Yachts is known for.
Sail handling is fully powered: electric Furlerboom with in-boom furling North Sails 3Di Ocean 700 mainsail, electric furlers on forestay, cutter stay and code 0, upsized Harken 80.2 electric primaries and a Harken hydraulic package with electric pump, all controlled from buttons at the wheel consoles.
For comfort and independence on long passages she carries a Fischer Panda 15 kW generator, air conditioning throughout, Eberspächer heating, retractable bow and stern thrusters, a Miele dishwasher and a full Raymarine Axiom navigation package. The A1B1G2 layout offers a forward owner's suite with island bed, two spacious aft cabins, an extended galley and two heads, finished in Nordic Oak with the Baltic style package.
As her first owner, it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my beloved X5⁶ BrainboX after just four sailing seasons. She offers a wealth of space and comfort, but above all superb sailing performance and, thanks in part to her twin rudders, helm response that is second to none.
Throughout her life, BrainboX has been maintained to the highest standard, down to the smallest detail, by David Greene, who is also the X-Yachts importer for Spain.
Since my wife passed away earlier this year, BrainboX has spent far too much time in port, and that is why I have decided to sell her.
She is a yacht built to cross oceans, yet our voyages took us no further than around Mallorca and down to Italy’s Amalfi Coast. I hope her next owner will give BrainboX the blue-water adventures she was made for.
