minX has been our family yacht since 2018, we fell in love with the shape style and brand very early on and have not been disappointed. We typically sail her 4 up with my wife Sasha and our 2 children who are now 17 and 15 but were 12 and 10 when she was new. We have really enjoyed the many adventures on her at weekends in the solent and multiple trips to the West Country where we typically end up with prolonged stays in Salcombe sometimes attracting the company of other Xp44’s!
We have raced her in local friendly cruiser classes in the West Country 4 up, beating fully crewed teams and winning a few cups along the way as well as many admirers of the stunning form of the Xp44. Last year we had an extended cruise to the Isles of Scilly for 4 weeks and added a Fuel Cell to keep the batteries topped up during prolonged periods at anchor whilst Sasha and I kicked back and the kids enjoyed the various toys stored in the cavernous aft lockers.
Last year we also took the opportunity to treat her to new North 3DI Endurance sails and a new North A2 kite with a very simple snuffer system. She is set up for comfortable, fast family short handed cruising and will be very much missed but remembered in the many adventures we have had with her.
