The first British Xc 47 was handed over to her new proud owner earlier this month.  After time spent learning her systems on the dock, lines were slipped at 1800 for an evening sail, and her maiden voyage.  In six knots of breeze, she reached out of the Arosund channel, before hoisting the G2 gennaker for a run.  A peaceful night was then spent under anchor in a calm Danish bay, carrying out further tests away from the dock. The next day allowed for some impressive light airs sailing, where her North 3DI sails sat on the rig well, and we were able to confirm the rig was well set up for light breeze.  Further rig checks will be made in more challenging conditions, where her removable inner forestay and heavy airs jib can be loaded up.
