ORC Worlds 2025: Three XR 41s In Front
August 13, 2025 | Tallinn, Estonia
The inshore racing series at the Garmin ORC World Championship 2025, powered by Amserv, kicked off today under ideal conditions on Tallinn Bay. With sunny skies, mild temperatures in the low 20s°C, and a steady west-northwest breeze gusting to 15 knots, sailors couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water.
Classes A and B took on the Bravo course near the island of Naissaar, while Class C raced the Alpha course just off the Kalev Yacht Club.

A Strong Start for the XR 41 Fleet
With four XR 41s in the Class B lineup, the early results highlight the boat’s versatility and speed—not just offshore, but in tight inshore battles.
CEO Kræn B. Nielsen commented earlier this week on the importance of the event and the effort behind the XR 41 project:
It’s undoubtedly the highlight of the year, and I’d probably be lying if I said I wasn’t excited—it means a lot not just to the sailors, but to the entire X-team, including the designers and everyone who’s worked hard to make the XR 41 what it is today.
X-Yachts is also supporting the fleet with a full-service team and spares trailer on-site in Tallinn, ensuring all boats are in top condition throughout the event.
Next Up
Racing continues throughout the week, with more inshore and offshore races scheduled through August 16. The fleet remains wide open, and the competition is expected to intensify as teams settle in, and conditions evolve.
Stay tuned for more updates and results as the ORC Worlds continues.
