The start of the Rolex Middle Sea Race!
An international fleet of X-Yachts are gathered up at the start line in the Grand Harbor of Valetta for the 40th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race.

This year’s X-Fleet:
Xp 44 – Xtra Staerk (Fin)
Xp 44 – Xpresso (Mlt)
Xp 44 – Xp-Act (Mlt)
Xp 44 – Warrior Won (USA)

Keep an eye open for the X-Yachts fleet though out this demanding and challenging offshore race which takes in some of the Mediterranean’s most dramatic scenery including two active volcanoes and scores of rugged islands.

Starting and finishing in Malta for a 606 Nm offshore race and navigating in the heart of the Mediterranean blue water sea.

Rolex Middle Sea Race will be the final race of RORC Championship 2019.

Meet the teams

Warrior Won
Warrior Won Xp 44 was the best-placed X-Yachts in the Rolex Fastnet Race in August and are now on Malta to compete for the Rolex Middle Sea Race trophy.

A high level of experience onboard
The 10-man US crew on board Warrior Won includes several Pro Sailors and sailors who are highly experienced within coastal and offshore racing.

Names as: Charles Corning (TransPac Multi-Hull overall winner – Argo 70), Collamore Crocker and  H.L.DeVore (US Shields Class North), Collin Leon ( Bowman and winner of TransPac in his class).

Xp-Act
The highly experienced crew of Xp-Act Xp 44 is about to take the start for the eighth time in Rolex Middle Sea Race.

Xp-Act Xp 44 is one of the Maltese yachts which are represented on the start line for this year’s 40th edition. Embarking on his 26th race, this time as co-skipper with Josef Schultheis of Xp-Act, whose best finish was second overall in 2014, Timmy Camilleri – X-Yachts dealer on Malta, has experience of winning the Rolex Middle Sea Race as crew on four occasions.

As a special for this race, Meet An X-Sailor and Export Manager at X-Yachts Torsten Bastiansen will be on board Xp-Act during the race.
