As always, the Solent on a quiet November day outshines the busiest summer day…
On a day like this, the Xc 47 feels completely at home. With the wind starting at 8 knots and gradually building to 14 knots, the yacht’s responsive handling was a true pleasure. The 212 square-meter G2 was hoisted downwind, and we held a steady 90-degree true wind angle, letting the boat power across the western Solent with effortless grace.
Our destination? Newtown Creek, where we dropped anchor for a peaceful lunch stop, surrounded by the natural beauty of this tucked-away spot. There’s something special about taking the time to pause and enjoy the stillness, especially after a satisfying sail under the November sun.
