The regatta attracts sailors from various countries, eager to test their skills and endurance against the sea. In 2024, 75 X-Yachts will participate in the 134 nautical miles, Singlehanded sailing regatta around the Danish Island of Funen.

The Silverrudder Challenge consist of 7 boat categories and there are no measurement rules. The boats are divided into different categories based on the length of the boat.

The winning boat in each category must beat the existing record time in its category. The fastest skipper in each category is the holder of a trophy until his or her time is beaten.
