Her specification is exceptional: a white vinyl‑wrapped mast paired with a white Axxon carbon Park Avenue boom, a full UK Sails Endure wardrobe including Code Zero and gennaker, and the top‑tier B&G H5000 electronics suite with Zeus3 plotter, radar, AIS, and dual autopilot controls.

The Xc 45 is my 3rd X Yacht, having purchase a new X-46 in 2006, then an X-362 and the Xc 45. When I decided to purchase the Xc 45 in 2019, this was to be a central part of my retirement plan as I was in the process of selling my business at the time. Unfortunately Covid came along then, I decided not to sell my business and have no plans to do so in the immediate future. I am very involved with the Construction Industry Federation at a national level here in Ireland and currently I am the National President which takes up a lot of time. In 2022 I started to build a large house for myself overlooking the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven which took up another 2 years of my life. Basically, life got in the way of my sailing and the net result was the boat has been used very little since it was delivered to Kinsale. This is a boat that needs a few long passages, a boat that really sails very well and is really a classic looking sailboat.
